Why don’t people in Camden use public transport? Because they can’t!

I usually communte between Camden and the city via Narellan Road, the Hume Highway and the M5 – a distance of 71 km. On many occassions I have averaged around 40 km/h – it has to be Australia’s longest school zone. The M5 ‘funnel’ is a story of its own. Speed cameras are a cruel joke – movement detectors would be a better investment!

A recent eye problem has severely impaired my vision so yesterday morning my wife drove me from our home to Macarthur Station. The off-peak ride in was quite pleasant. I attended a couple of meetings in the city, called back to Parliament House to get some documents the put myslelf at the mercy of our public transport system to get back to my home in Camden South.
