This is our flag, and has been for quite a while, if you don't like it than move to a different country with a differerent system of government. The British colonized this beautiful country, which in my opinion, gives them the right to have there symbol on the Australian flag, we would be nothing without the British, so give credit were it is deserved

Good start Charlie but I think you could have been a little more direct on some of these and one I think you forgot and that is government wanting to take total control of our lives in many ways that the freedom we cherish is very quickly being eroded away.

You are not witty or intelligent. The only thuggish behaviour I have observed is a Qantas CEO willing to hold everyone to ransom - workers, shareholders - and in the process cause damage to the Qantas brand and the economy. There was no need to ground the fleet as a threat to ground the fleet would have resulted in the same decision by FWA without stranding passengers around the world...even Joyce admitted this was the advice of his own lawyers to take the less damaging approach. As a result of Joyce's decision he has increased some public support for the Qantas workers by showing how ruthless he can be to hit all Aussies with his testosterone-driven action!

Charlie Lynn,
The Vietnam War was a shameful episode of Australian and American history. You know that. You must.

Never fear Anne. I think what Tony Abbott said at the Brisbane Forum is correct. There is instability within the govt. Many Labor ministers are worried about the affect of the Carbon Tax on their electorates and it only needs one of them to cross the floor for the government to be disolved and forced to election. Henry Bolt (Sydney telegraph) stated on 2GB radio the other day that he suspects their will be a change of leaderhip in the government within the next 2 months

It is an absolute disgrace, we are fighting a war because we want to show how valuable our freedom is, that we don't want to be dictated to as what we can do in our Country and how we should live and we also feel that the freedom we enjoy is the Right of every human being and our Soldiers are prosecuted! Every Politician who was for the War in Afghanistan and other Situations where our troops are deployed need to stand up and protest and do what ever is necessary to have the court hearing overturned!

I think the Carbon Tax is now dead in the water, or soon will be. The horror budget, making up for lower tax receipts and reckless spending will see the end of Gillard. Labor will remain in power, as Oakeshott and Windsor know they will lose their seats if there is an election. The Greens take control of the senate and Gillard's replacement limps through to next election. We are doomed for the next 2 / 1/2 years.
