Diggers homes for Illegal Immigrants – a disgraceful betrayal

Labor’s recent proposal to kick Defence Force families out of their homes to make room for illegal immigrants is a disgraceful act of betrayal towards our servicemen and women.

Whilst it took the heat of the election campaign to force the Gillard Government to take it off the agenda their Orwellian explanation has done little to allay the fears of our defence force personnel beyond August 21.

‘The Government has repeatedly acknowledged that as part of its routine and prudent contingency planning, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship has for some time been exploring additional temporary accommodfation options to house families and vulnerable asylum-seekers’, according to a report in the Australian on 28 July.

But what about the vulnerable families of our combat troops in Afghanistan left behind to fend for themselves while their husbands put their lives on the line on a daily basis in the war against terror?  These young families come from all over Australia and do not have the normal support of relatives and friends.  They have to rely on their local army, navy and airforce friends for family support.

The integrity of our service communities should be sacrosanct.

Since the Rudd-Gillard Labor government opened up our borders for people smugglers the integrity of our service communities has been shamefully compromised by allowing illegal immigrants to settle in close proximity to their married quaters and barracks.

Prime Minister Gillard, the real Julia, has always been an active member of the socialist left in Australia.  The unions she represents are the ones who went on strike rather than load ships for our diggers fighting on the Kokoda Trail during the Second World War.  Vietnam Veterans remember when the same unions refused to load our ships or deliver our mail during the Vietnam War.

Recently released Cabinet documents reveal that after the Vietnam War the Whitlam Labor Government would only allow North Vietnamese communists, our enemies, to migrate to Australia.  Our allies, the South Vietnamese, were left to languish in refugee camps for years. The Liberal Government reversed this treacherous policy after Whitlam was booted out of office in 1975.

Over the past 70 years Julia Gillard’s socialist Labor movement in Australia has supported the most murderous regimes the world has ever known in Soviet Russia, Communist China, North Vietnam and Africa.  They are now trying to sabotage the war against terror and are quite prepared to humiliate the custodians of our freedom, our Australian Defence Force personnel, in the process.

Australia’s enemies now lie within out national borders.  It would be naive to think that subversive elements have not posed as ‘asylum seekers’ as a means of infiltrating our borders.  They can obviously afford to act as ‘sleepers’ for years under our generous welfare system.

Former Prime Minister John Howard was well aware of the security risk of an open door policy for illegal immigrants. He implemented policies that stopped the boats and sealed our borders.  He used the Navy in their proper role i.e. border protection.

The Rudd-Gillard Labor Government reversed Howard’s policy and ‘people smugglers’ are back in business. It is a travesty that these traffickers can now decide ‘who comes to Australia and the circumstances in which they come’!

Julia Gillard, the first unelected left-wing atheist spinster to occupy the position of Prime Minister has humiliated our Navy by now using them as a collective maître d’ for illegal immigrants. Labor is now adding insult to injury by planning to evict our diggers out of  their family married quarters and barracks so the illegals can make themselves at home in their new environment.

Our veterans will be turning in their graves.

Meanwhile thousands of genuine refugees are left to languish in squalid overseas camps as boatloads of illegals jump the queue because they can.

Of more concern is the fact that Prime Minister Julia Gillard treats our highest level National Security Council meetings with contempt by sending her bodyguard along.  It doesn’t take a Rhodes Scholar to realise how much sensitive information would be with-held from such meetings by our American allies now that we have a Prime Minister who would not normally be granted a Top Secret Security Clearance because of her past political affiliations and activities with the socialist left.  They would be well aware that she could be secretly barracking for the other side – just as her left-wing role models have done in the past!

Lest We Forget.

Good on ya mate – vote the bastards out – Australia has had enough of their irresponsible handling of our economy and many other bastardised policys – Well spoken!

    Charlie,

How are you travelling old son? A bit better than “one eyed” yet?
Mate, you pose an interesting question re the – “her past political affiliations would normally prevent her from receiving a Top Secret security clearance”.
Anyone and everyone else requires a screening to have access to the info that a Prime Minister would have to have access to. Anyone and everyone else with only a small part of her background, would not be able to be cleared to “Secret” let alone “Top Secret”. How come the Prime Minister gets away with either: a. not having to be screened, or b. having her past negated that would otherwise have precluded her security clearance?
What is written anywhere that says our Prime Minister is above all this? And, surely, to even get anywhere near the top, a screening for anyone with her background would/should not have been cleared on the way up?
What gives? Is there a precedent here?
    Stay well mate,
    Bob

Secondly, what is the truth behind the scuttlebutt that the moving of Defence personnel from their homes in particular areas (so-called for “refugee use”) clears the way for Govt “sell offs” of those Defence areas – putting sheckles back into the Govt’s coffers, to help reduce the abyssmal debt they have created for our grandchildren?

    Charlie,
The facts of the matter are reprehensible to say the least. It is totally abhorrent to treat those who have paid the supreme price for our freedom. Australia is being sold out for some ones ideals that are alien to our long standing sovereign Australian way of life. Shame on the current propensity of any politician who appears bent on selling we Australians out by tugging their forelocks to foreign interests for their personal gain.

  6. Snake R. says:

This is a hoax, right? Surely there is no-one stupid enough to even think up a plan like this?

  7. Robyn says:

Our present un-elected un-mandated Prime Minister is an Industrial Lawyer (surprise, surprise) has no qualifications in Economics or Commerce, is not home-grown, knows nothing of the true blue Australian psyche, was raised in poverty by whingeing poms, and quickly went the way of many disgruntled bitter,fringe-dwelling misfits and joined the Leftist Extremist group.

She had to fight to get an education, so once in power she splashes tax payers money all over the country with not a clue how to administer it, and wants her name on plaques plastered all over our Govt buildings and schools to appease the gigantic ego, the likes of which we have only ever seen once before, i.e. in Kevin Rudd, who is of the same breed and background.

    Wake up Australia.

Once elected, this woman will alter the course of this country, and bring it to its knees.

Forget the Feminist slant, Gillard is not the one.

  8. Christopher (Bomber) Brown says:

    G’Day Charlie,
As an ex RAN sailor (and DFRDB receiptant) it is appalling to see our navy used as chaperones to these “illegals”.
However, Charlie, the sleeper, indeed the elephant in the room are “the rat bag GREENS” because all indications are that they will control the Senate.
Bob Brown (no reationship !!) and his myopic simpletons will screw Australia faster than anyone can imagine.
Think about, an open door policy for illegals, an impost on business on an unproven theory “CO2″ And a big hand break placed on agriculture.
To those who think or dream in a shade of green ” WAKE UP YOU’R STANDING IN IT”
    Kick some arse Charlie……

    Beers & Cheers

  9. David Abbott says:

Well said and fully supported. We do not need another left wing bleeding heart imcompetent Wally running the country nor do we need the Greens, who will detroy this country much as they have done in NZ-bring back little Johnny, at worse Tony Abbott-hopefully he will stop the boat people who are treated better than pensioners as well as moving to reduce debt and get this wonderful country back on its feet again.

  10. Kevin Freer says:

    G’day Charlie,
Well old mate there is one thing that must be said in favour of these Socialist/Communist/Marxists bastards, they are consistent. On that basis to develop tactics to defeat them should not be too hard. (I left it at tactics because I never did progress to strategy in my career.)
My major concern is there are so many blind; oops, drongos out there who don’t seem to be able to see what a bloody tragic mess Labor created in just 3 years and they still support them.
    Why?

  11. Malcolm Botfield says:

First Comment – what border protection?

Remember it was Labour under Whitlam who stole our Defence Super in their grab for money ($600 Million) and now the taxpayer pays our retirement, not from the management of our contributions.

Labour are making another grab for money from the Health Funds Medibank.

You are only going to be as good as your team and their selectors are struggling, when their best players are Gillard, Rudd and Swan.

The cost of illegal immigration deprives our own who you can see sleeping in the streets, farmers struggling, indigenous communities as a couple of examples.

However the apathetic non thinking voters are likely to return this Labour Govt instead of being a good team selector.

Thank you Charlie for your comments, well put and keep well.

  12. Phyllis Freer says:

I would like to know how Julia managed to have a 2 year affair with a married man with 2 children? He was a unionist is now a member of parliament. I wonder why this has not been identified by the media?

Also did the hairdresser she is now living with ever pay child support or is he just a dead beat dad that the tax payers are perhaps going to have to support living in OUR lodge?

  13. Charlie Lynn says:

I have received the following message from the Minister for Veterans Affairs, The Hon Alan Griffin MP. I have known the Minister for many years and I have the highest regard for him. He has a genuine interest in defence and veteran’s issues and earned the respect of these communities. Defence Force members, their families and veterans need champions across the political divide and I commend the Minister for his assurance on this issue.

‘I can assure you that Australian Defence Force families will not be relocated in order to house asylum seekers.

‘Furthermore, Defence families will remain at Berrimah until such time as new and improved accommodation is available elsewhere in Darwin.

‘The Government is committed to providing quality accommodation for our men and women in uniform and their families. Significant investment has been made in developing new and upgrading thousands of homes around the country.

‘This Government has done a lot regarding housing for Defence families. Work is underway on new homes – we committed to constructing 185 houses in Darwin as part of the Nation Building Economic Stimulus initiatives. The final house is due to be delivered in the coming months, and the program will inject $74 million into the Darwin community.

‘We are also developing Muirhead as part of a long term strategy to improve accommodation for ADF members and their families. ADF families will be progressively moved into the brand new accommodation at Muirhead when it becomes available. It is anticipated that this development will provide up to 330 new homes for Defence families.

‘Additionally, as announced in late 2009, the Government will proceed with the redevelopment of 97 new on base homes at Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin for Australian Defence Force members and their families at an estimated cost of $52.4 million.

‘In regards to Defence Establishment Berrimah, the current living in accommodation is used by all Services, including for surge capacity for major exercises, and this accommodation is fully committed. It also provides critical working and living accommodation for Defence personnel working in Darwin.

‘Let me assure you that at all times, any use of Defence facilities by anyone other than Defence is always subject to the operational, training and accommodation requirements of the Australian Defence Force. The Government’s priority is ensuring Defence personnel have the necessary working and accommodation facilities to allow them to undertake their important service to the nation’.

    Alan Griffin MP
    Minister for Veterans Affairs
