Labor’s ‘team Macarthur went missing in action during the debate over the sale of Hurlstone Agricultural High School in Parliament on Thursday according to Liberal MLC, Charlie Lynn.

‘When I introduced my Bill to save Hurlstone Agricultural High School in the Upper House recently the government shunted it off to an inquiry with the help of Fred Nile and the Shooters Party. (more…)

Treasurer Wayne Swan is responsible for the integrity of our financial system. One only has to look at the budget papers to appreciate the enormity of his task. Banks, building societies, superannuation funds, big business, small business, foreign affairs, defence, social security, health, transport, etc are part of the complex business of running a national economy.

So why would the financial situation of a used car dealer be so important as to warrant the Treasurer’s personal attention by having updates sent to his home fax? It’s a question that goes to the heart of the issue that dominated our Federal Parliament last week. (more…)

Mark Latham’s insensitive spray against our servicemen and women took the edge of an insightful view of Labor’s largesse with taxpayer funds. Joel Fitzgibbon’s tenure as Defence Minister was untenable after his indiscretions with his Chinese connections. Our senior strategists in the Defence Department are charged with assessing threats to our national security and ensuring we have the proper force structure and resources to meet them. Court Rejects Appeal for Islamic School in Camden

What a pity Camden’s reputation had to be besmirched by a shady organisation using the blunt instrument of ‘reverse-racism.’ Camden Councillors are to be congratulated for ignoring the provocation and standing firm in upholding the planning laws put in place to protect our community environment. Their decision, upheld in the Land and Environment Court, protects the rural integrity of the area. (more…)
