60th Anniversary of United Nations Human Wrongs!

Rather than celebrating the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights we should be questioning the tragic excesses of human wrongs. Article 1 of the declaration states that ‘all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood’.

Tell that to the genocide victims in Rawanda, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Bangladesh or to the exporters of terrorism in Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, North Korea, the Sudan and Cuba. But this will not stop bloated bureaucrats in the United Nations beating their chests and toasting each other with the finest imported champagne over the 60th anniversary of their declaration.sponsibility of the international community is to protect those in any nation whose government cannot or will not protect them from widespread violations of their human rights and threats to their very survival’. In this regard the United Nations has little to celebrate after 60 years of churning out gratuitous words from their headquarters in New York.

According to one international commentator, Eben Klapan, ‘the re

After 60 years the world is more unstable than ever before. It is no coincidence that the nations with the worst records of human rights are either Islamic states or dictatorships. But it is politically incorrect to say that so please forget I mentioned it in this article.

Left wing conspirators among us would prefer to blame the United States and other capitalist nations (who actually fund UN international junkets) for the ills of the world rather than accept the fact that radical Islamic fundamentalism and misguided political ideology is a root cause of the violation of human rights.

President Robert Mugabe is a stark symbol of the failure of the United Nations to ‘question the tragic excesses of human wrongs and ensure all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights’. They have taken the role of impotent observer as his people suffer unimaginable deprivations under his despotic rule.

Last week the world was shocked as the exporters of international Islamic terrorism set out to slaughter innocent civilians in Mumbai. Terrorism now impinges of the human rights of everybody in the free world. Islamic terrorists disregard every convention of war ever established by any international agency.

United Nations agencies would be better advised to keep the corks in their champagne bottles and try to put some meaning into the voluminous ‘feel-good’ statements they have produced from their international taxpayer funded headquarters in New York. A review of the worlds trouble-spots indicates they have nothing to celebrate.
